Supplied in powder form in convenient 1kg containers, Epizym Husk & Straw only needs to be rehydrated in luke warm water before applying at a rate defined by this easy to calculate and one-off formula. It's very important to get the application right or, like most things in life, it won't work.

Thick crusts can build up in farm slurry tanks or channels through bedding material (e.g. straw, shavings, paper waste) and partially digested food particles (e.g. husk from cereals, silage waste) which readily float not being mixed up and drawn from the tank at spreading time.
Epizym Husk & Straw is a potent, dried biological formulation containing beneficial cellulose digesting micro-organisms, enzymes and essential microbial nutrients. The micro-organisms selected for use in Epizym Husk & Straw were isolated from rich, productive farm soils and are completely harmless to humans, animals and living plants.
Calculate the surface area to be treated in square metres (length x breadth). For circular tanks this is the diameter (in metres) of the tank divided by two to give the radius.
Formula: Radius x Radius x 3.142 = sq. m.
Apply Epizym Husk & Straw at a rate of 1 Kg per 30 sq. m.
Rehydrate 1 kg of Epizym Husk & Straw in 10 litres of lukewarm (blood temperature) water for 20 – 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Apply as evenly as possible over the surface area of the moist crust. Some of the product will not dissolve readily so keep the mixture well stirred during application.
- Epizym Husk & Straw requires oxygen at all times and is, therefore, a surface worker only.
- Epizym Husk & Straw requires a temperature of over 15 Degrees C, optimum 21 – 30 Degrees C.
- Crust surface must be moist at the time of application. Add water or slurry liquids if necessary before application.
- Time required will vary according to temperature and thickness but 8 – 15 weeks should be considered “normal”.
- For very thick crusts refer to manufacturer.
For long term stability, Epizym Husk & Straw is supplied as a dehydrated powder. To activate the micro-organisms and enzymes, mix with warm water immediately before use.

Keep in a cool dry place. DO NOT allow the product to become damp or wet in storage.
