How much money could I save?

Epizym Pigs customers, most of whom have been with us for many years, can't talk enough about the money they have saved as a result of Epizym Pigs over the years. As every farm is different, the amount saved will never be the same. Here, Epizym customers explain savings on their farms.

Stuart Aitkenhead, Managing Director, Epizym   John Gray
Wellhouse Farm, Essex
Pig Farmer

John Gray farms over 8,000 fattening pigs on an island off the coast of Essex.

"I've been using Epizym Pigs since 1996. I reckon I've made a saving of about £6,000 a year on bagged nitrogen alone. That's not including the £1500 per year I would need to put by for contractors to come every 5 years to dredge out the accumulated sludge. Also, Epizym gave me the confidence to go 'all slurry' in my new fattening sheds as I knew the product would break down the matter with no hassle. This will save me about £6 for every pig. Of course, some things are hard to quantify, such as the improvement in growth of the crops.

Priceless
"Just as important, is the hassle factor of my neighbours complaining about the smells and my wife about flies in our conservatory. Hard to quantify but priceless."

Stuart Aitkenhead, Managing Director, Epizym   David Hammond
Faulkeners Farm, Hadlow College
Dairy farmer and one time pig farmer

David is now a dairy farmer but used to have pigs on a 50 hectare farm close to a large residential area in Kent.

"Epizym has definitely saved me money. I would certainly recommend it to other pig farmers" says David.
